Pentagon Plastics is a well-established plastic injection moulder within the Polymer Industry and boasts a strong reputation amongst our peers. We have a rich history to our family run business which is now in second generation leadership.
We have longevity of supply to the plastics community and provide a unique service to many customers across many sectors. Over the last 10 years, we have enjoyed a steady growth throughout improved marketing techniques and acquisitions whilst ensuring we meet our customers’ expectations.
We are dedicated to ensuring this growth continues over the years ahead and are working tirelessly to ensure the infrastructure is in place to support the projected growth.
The timeline below chronicles our path through the years:
1972 - Founded as Small Batch Plastics; Development & Low Volume Tooling and Moulding.
1979 - Formed Pentagon Plastics Ltd; Providing additional tooling support and delivering low - medium volume production.
1984 - First bespoke medical products.
1994 - Paul Edwards joins to implement Quality Management System.
1998 - Small Batch Plastics incorporated into Pentagon Plastics Ltd.
2002 - Increased machine range up to 200 tonne press.
2006 - Pentagon Plastics acquires Minimould Ltd.
2008 - Pentagon Plastics acquires Jarzon Plastics Ltd.
2011 - Paul Edwards promoted to Managing Director.
2012 - Pentagon celebrate 40 years of serving the Polymer Industry. Company Rebrand.
2013 - Pentagon Plastics add 7,000 sq. ft of manufacturing space. Increased machine range up to 280 tonne press.
2014 - Implement Supply Chain Management System.
2015 - £300k investment starts to improve the workflow and layout of the factory.
2016 - Invest in to two new injection Moulding machines. Acquisition of Phoenix Engineering 2009 Ltd.
2017 - Invest in high-end Laser Welding Technology.
2018 - Invest in two CNC Machining Centres adding 4 & 5 axis capability and a 22-tonne moulding machine.
2019 - Company rebrand to form the Pentagon Plastics Group and the acquisition of freehold on additional 10,000 sq. ft of manufacturing space.
2020 - Operations Director, Mark Sait joined Pentagon
